  1. It depends on situation. A lot of big magazines actually have blog rather than a website. When we talk about subdomain by using blogspot, that is definitely not professional, but if we talk about platform, I think as long as we have powerful, fresh and unique content, it doesn’t matter which platform to use.

    • I agree with you, Kent. However, this is not simply a case between platforms as they already have a blog powered in their corporate / official website – just like how big magazines do, a .com with a blog. Here, they are wanting to abandon (in fact, they already have) their .com and to go for a Blogspot, claiming that it will draw them better traffic. Sure, content is a very important driving factor but when it comes to brand recognition, credibility and even memorability, I would say a Blogspot definitely still won’t do good.
